Message from the Director:
Absolutely blown away by the dedication and perseverance of this years cast and I just know you are going to be as well. Those Ugly Sisters are doing their best to ruin the day, but hopefully a certain Charming Prince will whisk our Cinders away from it all boys and girls. We need a little bit of magic and fortunately for Cinders she has a Fairy Godmother who will help her out…. so long as she can get her spells right!
Set is up, scripts are down and runs of the show including songs and dances are going rather well… looking forward to introducing props and trying on costumes at rehearsals next week 🙂
Tickets are now on sale at Hillier and Wilson so grab yours early to get good to seats.
Speak soon, good luck putting up your Christmas trees and all the pantomime best
Hello Cinderella Cast, quick update to let you all know the time and place for the dancing rehearsal on Tuesday 18th November has changed… it is now in the United Reformed Church Acorn Room 8-10. Thanks all
Looking forward to the singing rehearsal tomorrow. Cast have settled in well and lines are being learnt. The show is shaping up to be hilarious and we’re looking forward to seeing you all in the new year.
Broadstone Productions are always looking for ways to give back to the community. We spent Saturday afternoon installing some brand new steps for the War Memorial Hall stage/apron. A big thank you goes out to Paul Woodman for all your hard work. Check out the pictures! We are really pleased 🙂
Getting prepared… check out the props so far for this year’s show:
Some invitations to a royal ball.
How do you make a horse jump?
Well, Slowcoach the Pantomime horse has dreams of being a show horse (he’s a little bit out of shape though boys and girls)… so we’ve made him a jump that even he can manage.
In our sleepy village we have two market traders who were the best of friends, but alas they have split up. Mark and Spencer have plenty to offer in the way quality clothing, but I think their work may be cut out with the ugly sisters as customers.
First rehearsal last week; a chance for the cast to meet one another and read through this year’s script. Here’s a note from the director on the day:
“Pumpkins, mice, and script reading is on the agenda for this eve…. with a touch of thigh-slapping magic of course. First read-through is nearly here and remember boys and girls, you’re never too old for a fairy tale.”
Here’s a cheeky note from the director:
“Scripts have now been printed, songs have been rewritten and excitement is building, Put ’em together and what have you got bibbidi-bobbidi bibbidi-bobbidi bibbidi-bobbidi-boo. First read through and cannot bloomin’ wait.”
A fantastic night was had by all at auditions two weeks ago. Here is a note from this year’s director:
“It was a real pleasure casting this years panto and what a fantastic bunch of individuals have we got for your entertainment. It’s gonna be an amazing show! CONGRATULATIONS! Big love, Leeroy.”
Good luck to everyone attending tonights audtions.
